AGD Creative Brief

Part 1:

There are 3 parts to the Creative Brief. In part 1, please provide your answers by filling in the blanks below. Take your time and have fun with it! You will need to complete and submit the answers in one sitting—so if needed, collect your responses in a separate Word/Google Doc and copy+paste them over when you’re ready.

Parts 2-3:

Part 2 allows you to schedule our first “Goals & Objectives” touchbase meeting. Last, part 3 has some homework—click the link to download the “Diligence Checklist” for project tips and action items. You’ll also need to start pinning inspiration to our Pinterest Board! Check your messages for an invite from me.

Section One: All About the Business

Your Business Name:

The Business Story

What's the story of your business? Your first project? The quote that encouraged you to make the jump? How did you, solo or with business partners, decide to start your entrepreneurial journey?

Industry Landscape

Who are the local and national peers and leading examples within your professional network and industry?

Brand Mission

When you think about your clients/audience, what emotions does your business connect to? What problems do you solve for them? If you are larger business, what organizations, celebrities, etc. would you partner with to tag-team the purpose of your company?

Brand Differentiators

Outside of a tangible product or activity, tell me what your business offers clients to keep them coming back?

Brand Inspiration

In general, is there anything you do NOT want to see included in the final brand? This could be a specific logo style, general shapes, colors, fonts, etc.

Section Two: About Your Client(s)

Below are a few questions to help us clarify your ideal or current audience. Perhaps your top 3 client projects popped into mind. Maybe you are looking to shift the type of client you work with. Either way, I find it best to think about this person(s) and give them a (fictional or non) personality. What do they eat? Where do they shop and spend their free time? Identifying them, in all their hobbies and characteristics, give us an anchor point against which to build a brand that serves it's consumer.

Tell me about your clients. What problems do you typically help them solve?

Outside of a tangible product or activity, what does your business offer your clients? What keeps them coming back?

Local-wise, where are a majority of your projects located?

Section Three: The Client Experience

Now, using the ideal client responses from section 2, think about what type of experience you want to provide for your clients as they interact with your business. All the detailed thoughts about their characteristics should lead you to adjectives that describe the type of experience this person is encounters when working with you.
